Vestibular rehabilitation is a non-invasive approach for patients experiencing dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders. The vestibular system is made up of 3 components: the visual system, the inner ear and the proprioceptive system. When there is a problem in one or more of these systems, dizziness and imbalance can occur.
There are many causes for dizziness and balance disorders: stroke, heart problems, blood pressure, anxiety, head trauma/concussion, and viral infection are only a few of the possible causes for dizziness.
During your assessment, you will receive an in-depth review of your problem and evaluation of your balance, musculoskeletal system and severity of vertigo. Treatment will be determined upon your individual assessment findings, and as such, an individualized treatment and exercise program will be created for you.
